How to participate in a remote hearing
- You must pre-register with the Clerk to participate in the Public Hearing (see below).
- County residents will be taken first.
- Speakers may be allowed up to five minutes to express their views.
- Public hearings are conducted using Zoom, but we also have a call-in number so that anyone who can't use Zoom can still have their voice heard.
How to pre-register to participate in a remote hearing
Registration for the public hearings typically close at 12 Noon on the day of the hearing. If this is not the case, it will be noted on the meeting calendar announcement.
Please send an email to publichearings@albanycountyny.gov with the following information:
- Your name, address and phone number
Your name and municipality will be made public (e.g., "Jane Doe, Cohoes, NY"), the rest of your information will remain private. - Whether you have access to Zoom
A call-in number will be provided if you can't use Zoom - The Public Hearing you would like to speak at and a statement you would like read in lieu of formal participation.
- You may sign up for multiple Public Hearings, if time allows.
- Please limit the length any written statements to allow for the participation of others.
- All written statements will be given to members, regardless of length.
- The Clerk or a member of our staff will contact you with the information for you to connect.
