Bid Evaluation Criteria

• Bids will be rated on a scale of 1-5 based on their rehabilitation plan, benefit to the community, and overall submission.
• All sales are subject to the approval of the Albany County Executive and the Albany County Legislature and either may reject any sale for any reason.
• All sales must be approved by legislative resolution.

Bid Deposit

• Upon notification, the chosen bidder must immediately deposit 20% of the full bid amount.
• This deposit shall be non-refundable except in the event the sale is not approved 
• Certified or bank checks are to be made payable to Albany County Department of Management and Budget. 
• No request for conveyance will be forwarded to the Albany County Legislature unless these funds are received.

Bid Balance

• Upon legislative approval, the approved bidder will be notified that the remaining balance of the bid amount is to be immediately deposited with the Albany County Division of Finance. 
• Not remitting the bid balance will cause the deposit to be forfeited. 
• The approved bidder shall be responsible for any closing costs.
