Problems? Concerns?
If you have a problem, a concern, or want to report a condition to us regarding County roads or property, please contact us at our Department Headquarters or one of our subdivisions.
Please keep yard debris off the Rail Trail
For the safety of those who use the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, we kindly ask residents not to place yard debris along the trail.
We inspect the trail several times a week for trees and branches that may have fallen across the trail and to ensure fencing is in good repair If anything needs attention, a DPW crew is dispatched as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your support as we maintain the trail for the benefit and enjoyment of the entire Albany County community!
We are dedicated to providing construction and maintenance services for all County roadways, certain state highways and County-owned parks and recreation areas.
Our employees work on County roads every day.
- During this work, traffic lanes may be narrowed or eliminated, and some traffic congestion may result.
- In unusual cases, traffic may be detoured, and we may recommend that you use alternate routes.
Construction Projects
▲ Please drive slowly and safely through construction zones
▲ Please be patient
▲ Please pay attention to flaggers and traffic signs
Do not drive around road striping trucks while they are painting. If you see cones covering lines, those lines are newly painted and still wet. Do not drive over them.
All of these projects are necessary. We complete them as quickly, and with as little impact to traffic, as possible.
