The Albany County Legislature is going to be providing resources to the Albany County Sheriff's Office to establish a County-wide Public Safety Explorer Program meant to provide resources for all Fire and EMS Explorer programs in the County.

Explorer Programs provide youth with opportunities for leadership experience, life skills, community service, and career exploration in the public service. In recognition of the benefits these programs provide, the Legislature is proud to be able to assist in their success by helping with recruitment, retention, and expansion to keep youth engaged.
